The longitude and latitude is the location of our home.
The next number is the amount of rain, according to the NOAA station behind our home, that we received from 8/29/2017 to 8/30/2017. Supposedly some sort of national historical record.

Now almost 17months later, we are finally back in our home, 95% recovered from the flood.
Now that we are settled back in, its easier to look back at the challenges of the past year and a half. Returning to what is basically a new home, on the inside anyway, has been one of the happiest moments for us during a time when those kind of moments were rare.
A real kitchen to cook in, a big bed to share and all the hot water we can use. Life is good.

There is a group of folks that I have to mention.
Immediately after the flood a small band of friends came together to help.
Robert and Vickie McMillian, Rusty Schaller and his son Cody and daughter Lakyn, Mike Melancon and Kayla Landry (who was 8 month pregnant at the time) along with Joyce and Tommy Harris, helped with the tear out and the hauling of EVERYTHING out to the street.
And of course, Jimmy Melancon and Ann Campbell, who took care of Alice after she was evacuated to Houston due to pneumonia caused by the flood. Knowing Alice was safely away from here and being taken care of was a great relief.
With out these folks I do not know how we would have managed. The stress and fatigue were unimaginable. Each of them had sacrificed time away from their own issues and daily lives to help out a friend.
A simple thank you does not seem adequate .
