Are you happy now?

These are strange times we are witnessing now.

For better or worse, probably worse, we citizens have become evermore reliant on “social” media to stay connected to friends and family, to stay informed of current events and present our own opinions and thoughts.

Now it appears that these platforms, that have been a standard part of our daily communication have become the social and political gatekeepers of what we should be allowed to see, digest and believe.

I never thought I would live to see the day when political discussion would be banned. Even our President has had is speech censored.

I’m afraid this great nation is on a downward spiral and only decisive and possibly extreme actions can reverse this trend away from our constitutional republic.

I honestly hope that is not where we are headed.

I pray that the processes that our founding fathers put in place will prevail and the men and women we have elected to represent us will stand up to the tyranny of the left and their accomplices in big tech and the media.

As I write this I am sure there are those that applaud the new censorship. After all, critical thought and diversity of views is fine, as long as it conforms to the liberal agenda.

I’m beginning to think the current dogma of liberalism is a disease. A cancer that has metastasized from at one point a positive movement for fairness and equality to a force for thought control and the destruction of our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

It saddens me to write this but I do believe there is hope. I still think we can have a nation where differing views can work together to make this great experiment work again. It may take a revolution. It may take new leadership, again form outside the D.C. bubble.

It will be an interesting few months and years to come to be sure.
