This day starts a little later. We need the sleep!

Eight a.m. and off to the Hoover Dam. Truly amazing, and to think, they did it all with out computers or very modern equipment and they completed it ahead of schedual.

First off..we’re still on Texas time. We had gotten up at 4 to shower and get ready to be at Nederland International for our 6:30 flight. We traveled all day, got to Vegas around 10 their time and stayed up waaaay to late.

For the uninitiated, Hot Air Balloons really only work well in the morning. The earlier the better.  So, we got up and met the guys at 5 a.m., yes, in the morning.

It was all worth it. The peace and quite, floating above this desert was just awesome. Enjoy the shots.

Tomorrow morning is the Hoover dam and the canyon. Don’t have to get up until 6. Yee Haa.

Oh yeah, we’re doing some gambling too…not much to say about that though…not yet anyway 😉

At the Nugget.
The flight was perfect. The rental car situation , not so much but we’re here.
As expected the service and rooms are great. New Rush Tower room, big and full of leather.. Plenty of room for a party! Hmmm, Never mind. More later, or when I’m up yo it 😉

So away we are getting.

It’s been a challenging few months, so an adventure was in order.
Vegas Baby!
Yeah I know, Lost Wages Nevada but the flight deal was too good to pass up and vacation days were burning a hole in my pocket.

First stop, the local aerodrome. A little quiet but hey, it’s only 4 minutes from my coffee pot to theirs.

Flight was full. Surprising .

A good traveler has no fixed plans, and is not intent on arriving.

June 2000–May 2013

Bear was a big boy and his heart and soul were huge.

Today he’s on his way over that Rainbow Bridge to join Honey and Goldie. He gave us 13 great years. What more could you ask.
