In general I try a be an easy going type of guy. I try and stay open minded and tolerant of other views and opinions.
There is a situation though that has, for some time now, really bugged the shit out of me.
When was the last time you were in a conversation with someone and in the course of your visit, your hobby, passion of the day or just the type of vehicle you drive comes up??
I would guess this sort of thing happens all the time.?
Ok, so how often, when this happens, does the other guy go into some long detailed story how someone he knows or is related to screwed up or got hurt doing just the thing you just told him that you love so much?
I’m sure if your a bicyclist or a photographer it happens all the time.
“Oh wow, my second cousin used to ride a bicycle and one day he stopped to take a picture and a log truck came around the corner……”you get the drift.
It seems as soon as someone finds out that I ride, that one of the most favorite things in the world for me is enjoying the world on my motorcycle, then out comes “The Story”.
I’m not ignorant of the inherent risks?involved?in my current passion. You manage those risk the best you can and put faith in your skills and the man upstairs.
I do not need to be reminded that the world is full of dip shits ?that cannot do either.
There,
I feel better now.
So next time you meet someone and start a little talk about what ever it is that trips your trigger, just remember that other person has cousin or a brother or?knows?someone who brushed his teeth with shaving cream, or met that log truck while?snapping?the shot.?
So for me, just go ahead and slap the snot out of ’em,?figuratively?speaking of course.
have fun, be careful

Agree my favorite brother. Since when did we, as a society, decide we need to live in a bubble; protected from anything that might harm us. I would be out there with you but, I learned learned on several bikes before, my brain just doesn’t focus enough to ride two wheels at speed (especially in right turns). Hell, Teri gets frustrated when I drive because I will usually be at or below speed limit and gawking at the sites. Thus, one more meaning of Turtleguy.
