It started with a call from GBGRR. Could we get to louisana to transport a pup.
Of course we said yes.
A young mother in Louisana was having to surrender her Golden. Through no fault of her own, her situation had changed and she felt the best option for Milo was our rescue group
So, off we go with a meeting place and time agreed upon. Meeting Milo it was obvious he was well cared for and well mannered. It was really tough on the owner. Tears all around. Finally we load up all his toys, treats and bed and head off to Houston.

In Houston, we meet another volunteer for the final leg of his journey

And finally he makes it to his new foster home. He will have plenty of new Goldens to play with and soon, after proper vetting and appraisal, Milo will be up for permanent adoption through the GBGRR website.
All in all, a great Saturday.

That is a great story. Sad for the woman surrendering, but she did the right thing. A local story by the Wolfforth Farmers Market involves a dog that was dumped by the market. Dog chased the car until she gave up. This was around Christmas. The Market folks adopted her. She gave birth to 8 pups Friday.
Photos are on their Instagram page. Compassion is a great thing! Thank you for doing what you do.
