My morning Spring Schedule

A beautiful spring morning.
Some re-potting of plants is needed. Along with some bird watching around the feeders. Maybe a trip to Lowes… I’m sure there is something I need.
Un-coil..relax..maybe grill some red meat latter on..with some corn and a salad…adult beverage, yup, that might just be the ticket. Lowes,, I know there’s something I must need. Enjoy the day. Thats the plan.
Enjoy yours

Amen and pass the bullets

Here is a link to my dad’s post on the state of our National Anthem. He is right on target.

Perhaps if we all held weapons on them they might sing it correctly….dh

A Good Dog

Today Began as a good day. A Great day of riding the back roads. But in the back of my mind was a worry. My best friend and companion for close to 15 years -Goldie-was not feeling well. We left her and her daughter and son in good hands. But to no avail. This night Goldie finally has peace.
Much praise has been showered upon our canine friends and many great acts are atributed to them. It is all true. They are truly a gift from God, or “the gods”, if you prefer.

Goldie, a smallish Golden Retiriever of sorts, came to us via The Humane Socioty of South East Texas, after a stay with a local Vet. for injuries sustaned as a free spirit or escapee, depending on how you look at it.

Just weeks after coming to live with us, she blessed us with Ten (that’s 10) puppies. Homes were found for all except two, a boy and a girl. I was told we just had to keep them. Thus began the best relationship (with a dog) that I have ever had.

For close to 12 years we enjoyed, stares, tennis balls, being underfoot, belly rubs and all the other dog stuff that they bring to the table. All the while Goldie, the Matriarch of the clan or ring leader, comanded the center of attention. As well it should be, she deserved it.

Vaya con Dios old girl. You will be in our hearts always.
