I feel much better today. Thanks for asking.
I think I’m over my bad feelings on anything techno/electronic. Maybe.
It’s a nice cool day today. A thunder shower or two and some paperwork to keep me busy and my mind should be safe from wandering into the abyss.
Wish me luck

Computers Suck
Windows Computers really Suck
Tech Support Sucks
Palm Phones Suck
It always seems things happen in three’s.
Let me take that back, BAD things happen in three’s. Really good things happen usually just once.
We recently had a three’s situation down here in paradise.
First, or should I say first and second, The washer and dryer “went out” at the same time. What are the odds?
Both down at the same time. They were old machines, had served us well over the years so it wasn’t all that unexpected. I just wasn’t ready to go out and buy new appliances.
Alice was thrilled. It must be a woman thing.
Needless to say they work great. I guess. I walk by them on the way to the garage (my domain) and they seem fine.
The real disaster came this weekend.
After years and years of faithful service, my lawnmower died. sniff, sniff.
I may be partially to blame for it’s dimise. Ya see it needed some oil. It’s been burning oil for some time now. Add a little before each start and off you go. Well, I thought this time I would give it a treat. Mobil 1 for old engines. Man it really ran great. started right up and ran like a top. Like a phoenix soaring to new heights before flaming to the ground.
Halfway through my neighbors yard… out of gas.. I thought. We lost all compression. I guess the super Slick Mobil 1 was too much for the old engine. It is dead. Real dead. Dead Dead Dead.
So I set it on the driveway and go inside to get my wallet. I’m gone maybe 15 minutes and when I return it’s gone. Off to lawnmower heaven. Valhalla for the old warrior.
I hope who ever picked it up treats her well.
So off to Lowes for the new Honda powered Troy-Bilt. Very cool.
Did I say bad things happen in three’s?
A few shots to heelp you all stay cool.
Alice keeping it Cool
Dave (and Robert) keeping it Cool
Dad keeping it Cool. O.k. I know it’s a winter picture but it is Cool.
HOT !!!!
?
That’s all I hear from the East these days (except from dad). Must be Global Warming…It’s all those SUV’s …Too many Gas Lawnmowers…Cow Flatulance
It’s SUMMER… GET OVER IT… IT’S HOT THIS TIME OF YEAR EVERY YEAR.
?Dad gets it. but he IS from the South.
If you are hot, It’s not anyone’s fault but your own. Buy a fan or better a window unit and put some workers to work. It’ll stimulate the economy. It’s the American thing to do.
It’s too damn hot to be a victim..
In the days before Central Air it was easy. Open a windowand turn on the attic fan. A virtual cyclone of wind would course trough the house. My grandmother on my mom’s side had a set up like this in her old home in Baton Rouge. I’ll never forget the first time I fipped the switch to the fan (just to see what would happen) and BANG? BANG?? BANG? every door in the house that was not tied down or closed slamed shut. I blamed it on the ghost. We all ways thought the place was haunted.
I don’t think Obama can control the weather..yet,…
so take off some clothes and get cool. Think of the possibilities…
Be Cool

Alex, kind of a slow start to the “Season”. Thank god.
The forecast for the upper Third Coast is lots of rain. We need it, although that means mowing.
I don’t mind cutting grass. There is something about seeing the results of your labor that is satisfying. I guess that’s how painters and sculptors must feel.
That’s it. I’m an artist. A lawn artist. Or Lartist. Van Gogh with a LawnBoy.
I think I’ll pass on the one ear thing though and stick to a cold beverage and a cigar and watch my work grow.
